Double Capture
June 2015 Site Specific Installation, The Carrack Variable dimensions Installation with cut paper, branch skeleton, string constellations, and paintings |
A skeletal framework constructed with branches and string create support for the paper forms to float within, and a woven net expands the form up towards the ceiling in the corner. The work forms a tunnel which viewers would crawl through the opening and arrive in the hidden canopy/shelter within (in the corner space), where they could hide, contemplate, or promptly exit through an escape hatch in the back.
This installation was part of the Double Capture exhibition, shown with the painting series of the same name. Link to video of Double Capture exhibition and artist talk made by Adam Narcross |
