These works are explorations on the theme of tunnel books in varying forms, including tunnel book boxes, open wooden sculptures, a window vitrine installation, and an enterable tunnel book installation.

Tunnel books are created through layers of material and their interaction with light.  The materials toggle between flatness and form, questioning the dynamics of figure-ground relationships and the simulation of physicality through shadow and light.  Through these works I explore ideas about perspectives, access, and the act of looking.
