The series is going steadily. Working on another triptych in paynes grey; trying to work on them more as a whole painting than completely separate entities.
I visited the VMFA in Richmond for the Chihuly exhibit, which was fantastic. Here's a peek at the show. A sketch from the large platform installation, which was challenging with all the visitors walking in circles.
Awesome video of a moonrise. For the full video go to http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap130130.html
Drawing from "Williamson Turn" at the Nasher in Durham. The painting behind it is one of a shiny green car. A perfect contrast!
I've played with the arrangement of the paintings, and will continue to do so while working on them.
This painting is the start of a new series of work. You can see the steps taken in the progression of the paint build up. The first and second pieces shown together, neither of which are complete. I'm contemplating how to arrange them when the series is finished.
